MATTHEW P. SULLIVAN

Mr. Sullivan obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Davis in 1984.  He went on to receive is Juris Doctor from Golden Gate School of Law in 1988, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class.  He received Jurisprudence Awards for Excellence in the study of torts, contracts, criminal procedure and international law.  He was admitted to the State Bar of California that same year.

Mr. Sullivan has over 22 years of experience as an insurance defense attorney.  He joined the McNamara Law Firm in 2007 and focuses primarily on wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases, property damage, uninsured and underinsured motorists, premises liability, contract disputes, construction defect and land movement cases.   Before joining the McNamara Law Firm, Mr. Sullivan worked for the insurance defense firms of Caudel, Welch & Umipeg and Capps, Staples, Ward, Stephenson & Dodson.  He also worked as in-house counsel for Farmers Insurance with the firm of Valerian, Patterson, Field & Stratman.

Mr. Sullivan is a member of the State Bar of California and the Contra Costa County Bar Association.
