Jennifer Stewart was born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1983 from the University of California at Santa Cruz (with honors in the major) and her J.D. in 1986 from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco (graduating in the top 20% of her class). She has over thirty years of civil litigation experience in diverse areas including personal injury, employment, real estate licensee defense, construction defect, and insurance subrogation. She has worked for a number of Bay Area law firms over the years and has been associated with McNamara since 2019. She currently specializes in insurance defense litigation including landlord tenant, personal injury, and property disputes. She has trial and appellate experience, has won several summary judgment and judgment on the pleadings motions, and has won one appeal. She is married with two adult children and loves to travel and learn foreign languages.
