COURTNEY P. WERT
Associate
Fairfield
Courtney P. Knigge’s practice in civil litigation includes insurance defense in personal injury and wrongful death matters. Prior to joining the McNamara Law Firm, Courtney was a law clerk for two small plaintiff’s civil litigation firms focusing in construction law, contract law, personal injury, and employment law. She was also an investigative intern at the Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration and assisted with research for The Hague Domestic Violence Project.
While attending Golden Gate University School of Law, Courtney, following her love for animals, was president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Additionally, she was on the Moot Court Board and later competed at the Roger J. Traynor Moot Court Competition in her final year of law school. Courtney continues to assist Golden Gate University’s appellate advocacy students and moot court competition teams.
Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys being active outdoors and playing soccer; a lifelong passion for her. Courtney was born and raised in the Bay Area, but San Diego, where she attended school for her undergraduate degree, will always have a special place in her heart.
