TRIALS/CASE AND SETTLEMENTS

Thompson v. City of Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County Case No. N16-0201. Plaintiff alleged causes of action for takings, violation of due process rights, and equitable estoppel arising out of the City’s handling of a building permit. We prevailed in a bifurcated trial on the takings and equitable estoppel causes of action, and the court subsequently dismissed the due process cause of action before the second phase of trial after briefing by the parties.
